Primary school sessions

We look forward to welcoming and inspiring your students. Each visit involves a workshop led by a member of museum staff followed by a self-led tour of the museum gallery.

The cost of a facilitated workshop is £185 for a two hour, interactive workshop.

We can also offer virtual tours and workshops, Discovery Boxes full of artefacts and resources that you can borrow for your classrooms, free classroom-based sessions and more. Contact [email protected] to discuss your requirements further.

We currently offer two primary school sessions designed for KS2:

  • The Second World War through the eyes of Biggin Hill children
  • Biggin Hill during the Battle of Britain

These sessions will involve object handling and enquiry-based activities. Following the session, pupils will be able to explore the museum using our school discovery tablet. They will learn about the real people based at Biggin Hill, watch interviews of people telling their own stories, find objects and images in the museum, and participate in activities and quizzes.
