Join us during October half term for a week of craft activities for children. Sessions include:
Stained glass window making: Be inspired by the wonderful windows in the St George’s RAF Chapel of Remembrance then come and have a go at making your own versions. Our drop-in craft sessions are suitable for children of all ages and will take place between 11am and 3pm from Saturday 19th October to Sunday 27th October. This session is free with the price of an entrance ticket. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please also note that the museum is closed to the public on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Come and listen to our lovely wind-up gramophone and hear classics such as Teddy Bear’s Picnic how they used to be played in the 1940s.
Get crafty with our special family wet felting workshops taking place over October half term. Come and learn how to make jewellery and key rings using this fantastic technique and have fun using soap and water to create beautiful jewellery and keyrings you can take home and keep. These workshops will take place on:
Wednesday 23rd October between 2pm and 4pm
Friday 25th October between 2pm and 4pm.
This is a ticketed event. Tickets are £3 per child. Places are filling up fast so to reserve your place, contact our Access and Learning Officer Isobel Hood on firstname.lastname@example.org.
