Looking for something to do over the school summer holidays? Come and join in the fun at Biggin Hill Memorial Museum where our theme this season is Secret War and animals of World War Two.
Get your very own Secret Agent Spy ID card then enjoy making a range of exciting objects in our drop-in family craft sessions, including walkie-talkie string telephones, Morse Code bracelets and spy binoculars.
You can learn how to write in invisible ink too!
All events are included with the price of a museum entry ticket and run between 11am and 3pm daily, excluding Mondays.
Our family craft drop-in sessions run as follows:
Saturday 23rd July – Friday 29th July
All good spies need to be able to communicate with each other and HQ. Make walkie-talkie string telephones in our self-led family drop-in sessions this week.
Saturday 30th July – Friday 5th August
Before the dawn of wireless technology, members of the armed forces used Morse Code to communicate with each other. Make Morse Code bracelets in our self-led family drop-in sessions this week.
Saturday 6th August – Friday 12th August
Make your own William the Goat finger puppet and mask.
Saturday 13th August – Friday 19th August
Secret communication is vital for spies. Write an invisible secret message and make a pair of spy binoculars and different disguises.
Saturday 20th August – Friday 26th August
Make-do-and-mend craft session, 10am until 12 noon. Come and have a go at making your own craft animal.
Saturday 27th August – Sunday 4th September
Spies need to be able to crack codes and make codes to pass on to others. Make a Caesar Cipher Code Wheel and a Code Maker.

Saturday 27th August
Come along and make your own animal inspired kites.
