October Half Term Family Fun at BHMM
Looking for an inspiring day out during the October half term holidays? Join in the fun at Biggin Hill Memorial Museum with a range of activities for youngsters and families. Get hands-on with our daily self-led craft sessions then take part in our Scramblegram Challenge to see if your family can come up with the most words. Enjoy performances from actors in role and test your brains with our family pack of puzzles and trails. There are also prizes on offer if you can find William, our miniature ‘pet goat’, who often goes for a walkabout and hides in the collection!
The theme for this year’s half term holidays is ‘Remembrance’ and the timetable for events is as follows:
Saturday October 15th – Friday October 22nd: Make a tissue paper poppy at our self-led family craft sessions. (Daily apart from Mondays, 11am until 3pm.)
Saturday October 23rd: Enjoy a live performance from our actor in role as a Second World War ARP Warden. Performance times are at 11:30am and 1:30pm.
Saturday October 23rd – Sunday October 31st: Make a remembrance stained glass window and a memorial pebble at our self-led family craft sessions. (Daily apart from Mondays, 11am until 3pm).
Saturday October 30th: Enjoy a live performance from our actor in role as a Second World War Housewife. Performance times are at 11:30am and 1:30pm.
Where’s William, the Scramblegram Challenge and the family packs are available daily throughout the half term holidays (apart from Mondays when the museum is closed). Activities are all included in the price of a museum entry ticket. Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
