D-Day to Doodlebugs
Join Geoff Greensmith for his first hand account of the massive military build up at Biggin Hill prior to D-Day, and their departure to liberate Europe. This was followed one week later by the terror of mass Doodlebug attacks. Geoff’s father Bill, ran the Nightingale Cafe onsite at RAF Biggin Hill, during the Second World War. As a young boy, Geoff therefore had unrivalled access to the camp and its goings on.
