Adult Lecture Series: Norman Brice on the history and work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission
Join Norman Brice as he discusses the history and work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC), with a particular focus on Biggin Hill casualties. Given its Royal Charter in 1917, the CWGC honours the 1.7 million men and women who died in the First and Second World Wars and ensures they will never be forgotten. The Commission has built and now maintains cemeteries and memorials in 23,000 locations in more than 150 countries and territories. They also manage the official casualty database archives for its member nations.
