About this object23 Squadron. Hawker Hart K2848 flying over the River Thames. The squadron had previously been based at Kenley. It relocated to Biggin Hill in September 1932 to allow for reconstruction work to take place at Kenley and served here until 23rd December 1936.
In September 1980 RAF Biggin Hill gathered together a collection of photographs from museums, commercial organisations and private individuals to mount an exhibition to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The collection was passed on to Bob Ogley when the RAF withdrew from Biggin Hill on 19th June 1992
