About this object23 and 32 Squadrons. Biggin Hill Empire Day display. 24th May 1934. Both of these squadrons had previously been based at Kenley. They relocated to Biggin Hill in September 1932 to allow for reconstruction work to take place at Kenley. 23 Squadron flew Hawker Harts and 32 Squadron flew Bristol Bulldogs. The squadrons served together at Biggin Hill until '23' moved out on 23rd December 1936.
In September 1980 RAF Biggin Hill gathered together a collection of photographs from museums, commercial organisations and private individuals to mount an exhibition to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain. The collection was passed on to Bob Ogley when the RAF withdrew from Biggin Hill on 19th June 1992.
